Programs

Storytime

Story Time has gone virtual! Stories are posted on our Facebook page Hays Library at Fort Stewart.

Story Time provides the opportunity for parents/caregivers to engage in a fun activity with their children. This program encourages a lifelong love of learning.

Oh, Darn It! Mending Workshop

Oh, Darn It! Is a visible mending workshop. Have a favorite tee with a hole in it? Or a jacket that has seen better days? At Oh, Darn It! we'll provide you with thread and guidance on how to fix those items with some flair! Take an old clothing item and make it new again! The library will hold Oh, Darn It! Workshops every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 10:00 am.

Builders' Block

Children of all ages are invited to join us virtually every 2nd Tuesday of the month for Builders' Block on our Facebook page Hays Library at Fort Stewart! This program includes challenges, games, and activities.

Coffee and Color

Come and enjoy some calming coloring and sip some coffee at Hays Library. Every second and fourth Friday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Coffee and coloring materials will be provided. This event is for adults only.

S.T.E.A.M. Workshop

The S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) workshop will be a way for children to expand their knowledge and explore their creativity offering them a way to learn how & why things work the way they work. We will conduct unique experiments, projects, & crafts.

The workshop is currently virtual, at Hays Library at Fort Stewart, but we'll be back in person as soon as we can!

Craft, Paper, Scissors!

The Hays Library will host Craft, Paper, Scissors! every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 11:00 am.  Everyone is welcome to come and craft (children with parental supervision).  A special paper craft will be chosen each month, materials will be provided.

Crafternoon Take & Make

Hays Library will be providing Take & Make craft kits Thursdays each week.

There's fun to be had for all ages as kits will be provided for three age groups, 0-6, 7-15, and 16+.

To get yours, stop by Hays Library, the kits will be on a table at the front entrance for your convenience from 9 am-3 pm.

They are first come, first serve, while supplies last. Please, only take what you need so others can beat the boredom too!
