The Lotts Island Recreation Area has boat slips available for long term docking. These slips have water and electrical hook ups and are located on the Forrest River. This coastal waterway has direct access to the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The area also has a fishing pier for those land lovers who want to wet a hook or drop a crab basket. The dock is a popular crabbing spot, so come early and remember only 2 crab baskets per group.

A Georgia DNR fishing permit is all that is required to fish at Lotts Island pier.

Private berthing at Lotts Island Marina is available for a monthly fee of $5 per foot. The Marina has a private gate, water and electrical.  It is open to all users but space is limited.

Customer Reviews

10/3/18, I spent the last days of Sept 2018 in Lotts Island Campground on Hunter Army Airfield. I was in a motorhome. The appearance of the campground was the best I have seen it in recent years. I was also pleased to see the grass being cut the day before I left. I will be happy to recommend Lotts Island Campground to other military RVers.
