Steps for Transfering Your FCC Business

If you are a certified FCC Provider, you can transfer your business at your next duty station.

  • Verify FCC Availability: Contact the FCC Office at your installation to confirm that an FCC program is available.

  • Submit a Transfer Request: Notify your current FCC Office and submit a transfer request to your installation’s FCC director.

  • Coordinate with the New Garrison: The gaining FCC director will review your file and initiate the background check process.

  • Complete Required Paperwork: Submit any additional documentation required by the new installation’s CYS program.

  • Pass Home Inspections: Once you arrive, schedule necessary fire, safety, and health inspections for your new home.

  • Receive Final Certification: Upon arrival, you will receive certification to resume providing care.

Relocation Bonus for FCC Providers

FCC providers who successfully relocate their home business may be eligible for a relocation bonus of up to $1,000. This incentive is paid over 12 months upon the enrollment of at least two children.

Stay connected During Your Move

To ensure a smooth transfer, maintain communication with both your current and future FCC offices throughout the relocation process. This helps avoid delays in resuming your childcare services.
