April is the Month of The Military Child, when we recognize our Military Children for their sacrifice and bravery on the home front, as part of the month-long celebration, Child Youth Services (CYS) has scheduled special activities throughout the month of April. We hope you'll join us in celebrating military children, our Super Heroes!
Kick Off Parades
We'll kick the month-long celebration off with Parades through installation housing areas. On April 1st we'll visit Hunter Army Airfield, and on April 9th we'll visit Fort Stewart.
Super Heroes
Throughout the month of April children can stop by and pick up an activity sheet at Hays Library that helps solve a puzzle to defeat the supervillain. The activity sheets will be available for pick up all week.
Each Friday during the month of April there will be super hero crafts available for our super heroes to take home.
Rock Week
We think military children ROCK! April 5th thru April 9th let's go on a rock hunt for a special message. Check out the details here.
Purple Up!
On April 15th we invite all to join us in wearing purple to show support of Military children. We want to see your smiling faces and snazzy outfits! Share your pictures with us through DM on our Facebook pages Fort Stewart/Hunter FMWR or Stewart/HAAF CYS.
Family Movie Night
We believe everyone could use a fun night out to relax and spend time as a family. Hang out with us April 16th on Fort Stewart and on April 17th on Hunter Army Airfield to watch Sonic the Hedgehog on the big screen! Free snack packs will be available for children in attendance. Don't forget to bring your chairs and blankets so you can get comfy!
Driveway Decorating Contest
From April 19th thru April 23rd show us your creativity by decorating your driveway. Once you've created your master piece share it with us by sending a message through Fort Stewart/Hunter FMWR Facebook page or Stewart/HAAF CYS. We can't wait to see your creations!
Spirit Week

Wellness Wednesdays
