The Heavyweight Harvest Challenge

Think your buck or boar has what it takes to claim the title?

This season, we're looking for the biggest and heaviest harvests on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. Whether you've harvested a trophy whitetail or a heavyweight wild hog, it's time to put it on the scale and see how it measures up against the competition.

Whether you're a first-time hunter or a seasoned veteran, this challenge is your opportunity to earn bragging rights and compete for the grand prize.

What the Challenge Is

The Heavyweight Harvest Challenge is an installation-wide competition open to hunters participating in the official hunting season on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield.

Participants will submit eligible bucks and wild hogs harvested on the installation, and the hunter with the heaviest verified harvest in each category will be crowned the winner at the end of the season.

All animals must be weighed whole and may not be field dressed. Field dressing refers to removing the internal organs before weighing.

Determining the Winner

Tie-Breaker Rule

In the event of a tie in the buck category, the deer with the highest number of antler points will be declared the winner. Each point must measure at least one inch in length.

In the event of a tie in the wild hog category, the animal with the greater overall weight at final verification will be declared the winner.

Why Participate?

  • Compete for bragging rights.

  • Showcase your harvest.

  • Test your skills against fellow hunters.

  • Become one of the first Heavyweight Harvest Challenge champions.
