BOSS Whitewater Rafting

BOSS is hosting a whitewater rafting life skill event with Whitewater Express to conduct a class that will include lessons on safe rafting practices, teamwork, river navigation, identification of hazards on the water, and resilience toward physical demands.

Soldiers will meet at Ft Stewart MWR at 0630 for accountability and depart the MWR at 0700. Arrival time is 1115 at Whitewater Express Columbus, GA. Participants have the option to either bring food or eat lunch in downtown Columbus. The tour guides will be giving a lesson and tips on appropriate rafting techniques at 1200. We will load the rafts and depart Whitewater Express dock at 1300. Upon entering the boat, participants will be able to visually learn about rafting safely, navigation, teamwork and resiliency. At 1500, Soldiers will depart the raft and load the commercial buses for accountability. During the bus ride back, SSG Wise will conduct an AAR and give a BOSS briefing. At 1915 the Soldiers will be released at MWR.

Cost

$10 cash deposit due to SSG Wise within 48 hours of registering. If a deposit is not received registrant will forfeit their spot. Cash will be returned to Soldier upon completion of event.
